The Retrofit Revolution
Our mission as an alternative energy firm is to give your company the best solutions available to "Go Green". The retrofitting process begins with a simple look up- as your lighting contributes nearly 60 percent of all energy usage in your facility. A concept as simple as changing a light bulb can create a world of difference.
Retrofitting is essentially a simple process that consists of a lighting upgrade that increases overall energy efficiency while bringing down your company's overall costs. The SEG Process involves two basic, but key, steps in overhauling your facility's lighting system: evaluating the current lighting technology in your facility and designing a system that performs most efficiently for the work applications in your building.
Our in-house staff consists of financial, architectural, energy and environmental professionals, all dedicated to providing our clients with strategic positioning that accomplishes expense reduction and revenue growth by implementing good sustainability practices.
SEG provides financing options for energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives. Options include guaranteed energy savings performance contracts, lease financing, and direct first-party financing - to renewable energy power purchase agreements.
Electrical Energy Depository
ALL Energy users of electric power suffer from the following conditions to some degree:
- Harmonic Distortion: created by switching power supplies, AC motor drives and fluorescent lighting.
- Phase Imbalance: In three-phase systems, it is common for one phase to be more loaded than the others, resulting in less-efficient power utilization.
- Peak Inrush Current: Although brief, the extra electricity drawn at this time can increase costs for power and infrastructure. Utilities are increasingly charging a "Demand Charge" based on the highest peak current during the month.
- Voltage Sag: Voltage sags occur when the actual voltage in a system is less than the expected amount, causing motors and other devices to draw more current than normal and operate less efficiently.
- Power Factor Degradation: Caused by the presence of inductive loads from things like motors, pumps & HVAC equipment.
EED is designed to address ALL of these conditions in any power system. Here are some Features EED provides…
- Five key features, all which interact, to provide kWh reduction.
- An electronic device with no moving parts.
- The key lies within its patented Iterative Control Transformer.
- This device interacts with all other devices in the unit.
Electrical Energy Depository Technical Overview:
- Connected at the main or sub panels with a new breaker.
- At least one very good ground is essential.
- Professional facility testing is essential for proper unit sizing.
Energy conservation through energy efficiency
Investment return in 18-36 months, cutting your electric utility bill by 11% - 30%. Enjoy the benefits of Power Correction, Lightning and Power Surge Protection, Phase Balancing and Harmonics reduction all in one energy-saving unit. SEG starts with a very simple process that includes a thorough review of your utility bills and a walk through of your facility. Next we do an on/off test which allows us to tell you exactly what is possible in your facility with the installation of our unit.
How it Works
The device removes irregularities in voltage (power spikes & sags) produced by switching transients from power stations. It stores the energy for when it is needed inside your building. When any electrical device, including lighting, computers, motors, refrigeration, etc., are turned on or restarted, the power needed is already in your building. EED's effectiveness has been tested by the most dedicated industry professionals in energy efficiency, and is made in the USA.
